Grandparents’ Chapel 4/17/08
Kind of got caught up in the moment and didn’t take many notes.
This may be a good time to talk to your students about stories they have heard their grandparents (or family members) tell over the years.
You could talk about the differences between when their grandparents went to school to how school is now. The wood stove. The one room classroom. Vegetable soup for lunch made piping hot right in the room.
Finally you could talk about the legacies these or your grandparents left. Some may not have good legacies, and how can one change their own legacy for the next generation.
